CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – A fire hit a public school in Bataan two days after the conduct of the midterm elections.
A belated report said the fire that destroyed the Jose Payumo High School in Barangay Naparing, Dinalupihan town, broke out at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Some teachers said before the blaze they heard two explosions coming from the guidance counselor’s room.
Responding firefighters declared the fire out by 1:10 p.m.
Arson probers have yet to determine the cause of the blaze. Damaged was estimated at P400,000.
