CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga , Philippines – A security aide of a mayor bet in Floridablanca, Pampanga, was shot and seriously wounded during a political rally last Wednesday, police said.
The victim, Bonifacio Muldong, 59, stay-in security aide and driver of lawyer Anselmo Carlos, who is pitted against re-electionist Mayor Eduardo Guerrero, sustained bullet wounds in the chest and abdomen.
Police believe though that the incident had no political color, as the target was Muldong, not Carlos.
