ZAMBOANGA City, Philippines - Three persons were killed while another was seriously injured when the speeding truck they were on rammed a huge boulder along the highway in Dumalinao town, Zamboanga del Sur on Monday night.
Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, spokesman of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO), said the truck (PEO 142) loaded with tuna and driven by Federico Itang was bound for General Santos City when it rammed the boulder along the highway in Barangay Dumanga at around 8 p.m.
Huesca identified the fatalities as Roter Saligan, Dennis Dayag, and Katherine Misa. Itang, meanwhile, was seriously injured.
The remains of those killed in the accident have been turned over to their respective families.
