Suspected drug pusher falls in Aklan

MANILA, Philippines - Authorities arrested a suspected shabu dealer in the province of Antique during a recent buy-bust operation, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Tuesday.

PDEA chief Arturo Cacdac Jr. said that combined elements of PDEA and Philippine National Police nabbed Romeo Otillano, 40, of Rodriguez Subdivision, Barangay 8, San Jose, Antique on Thursday last week.

Cacdac said Otillano is ranked as the No. 1 target-listed drug personality in the province of Antique.

Reports showed that at around 7 p.m. last February 21, combined elements of PDEA Regional Office 6, the Antique Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group and Patnongon Municipal Police Station arrested Otillano during a sting operation in Poblacion, Patnongon after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer in exchange for P1,000.

Operatives also seized from the suspect another two plastic sachets of shabu, cash money in different denominations, and the P200 marked bill which was used as buy-bust money.
