UNA senatorial bets barnstorm Cebu

As the campaign period kicked off on Tuesday, the United Nationalist Alliance said that its Cebu City proclamation rally will not refrain from engaging in black propaganda and mudslinging.

UNA secretary general and Navotas Rep. Tobias Tiangco said the Cebu rally will focus on a positive theme and will move away from political mudslinging.

He added that the UNA gathering will deliver the collective message on how the senatorial ticket would “make life better for Filipinos.”

For his part, Cagayan Rep. and UNA senatorial bet Jack Enrile said the Cebu rally is a chance to present their individual platforms of governance to the electorate.

“This is a good opportunity for us UNA candidates to show ourselves to the people and ask them to vote for us and our individual platforms,” Enrile said.

All the UNA candidates will stop by the Sto. Niño Cathedral for a mass  to be officiated by Cebu Archbishop Jose  Palma prior to the start of the rally.

After the mass, a grand motorcade will take the UNA stalwarts and candidates through major points in Metro Cebu including the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.

Attending the event are UNA stalwarts Vice President Jejomar Binay, former President Joseph Estrada, and Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile.
