BANGUED, Abra, Philippines – Three local policemen are facing summary dismissal proceedings for their alleged involvement in illegal logging.
The three – SPO1 Jerome Nelson, PO2 Gener Ortega and PO1 Feberick Talingdan – were indicted for grave misconduct for violating Presidential Decree 705 (Forestry Code).
Nelson and Ortega were found allegedly directly engaged in illegal logging, while Talingdan was seen unloading narra lumber at a furniture shop in this capital town.
