Lihis, a film featuring a gay couple in the rebel movement, releases trailer

MANILA, Philippines - Lihis, director Joel Lamangan's entry to the 2013 Sineng Pambansa All Masters Series Film Festival, released its extended trailer on Monday, giving the public a peeek into the story of two male communist rebels who fell in love with each other despite discouragement from the people around them.

Written by award-winning screenwriter Ricky Lee, the story revolves around a history teacher played by Isabelle Daza, who tries to crack the mystery behind her godfather's torn image in her baptismal photo.

The investigation leads her to the turbulent seventies and a barrio massacre that will help her in her mission to prove that the government erases certain events in history.

Actors Jake Cuenca and Joem Bascon star in the movie, which includes steamy scenes between an aggressive homosexual and a repressed romantic.
