7 roads closed for repairs

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Seven roads in Quezon City and Caloocan were temporarily closed for repairs over the weekend.

In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) closed down the northbound lanes along Visayas Avenue in front of the Department of Agriculture and the fifth lane on EDSA from Landers to Howmart.

The DPWH also started repairing Congressional Avenue’s first northbound lane before Visayas Avenue; Monumento Circle in Caloocan, and the third lane along Congressional Avenue from EDSA to Cagayan street.

The northbound inner lane of Quirino Highway, from T. Urbano to Pagkabuhay Road, was also closed to traffic.

Motorists should look for alternate routes as A. Bonifacio Avenue’s southbound lane crossing Sgt. Rivera was also closed to traffic, according to the MMDA.

All affected roads will be opened to traffic by 5 a.m. today.
