Man shot dead, another hurt in Navotas

MANILA, Philippines — A still unidentified man was shot dead while another was wounded by a stray bullet in Navotas City on Saturday.

A man 30 to 35 years old with a tattoo of Jesus Christ and a cross was found dead with bullet wounds in different parts of the body in Barangay North Bay Boulevard South before midnight.

At around the same time, Van Errick Catu was walking home from a drinking session when he heard a gunshot then felt a bullet hit him in the neck and fell to the ground.

Police recovered from the crime scene four fired cartridge cases and two deformed slugs.

Catu was brought by his relatives to the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, where he is under observation.
