Manila judges, prosecutors, cops get P1.7-M incentives

MANILA, Philippines - Fifteen judges and prosecutors as well as 10 members of the Manila Police District (MPD) have received P1.7 million cash incentives from the city government for their service to Manileños.

Senior Superintendents Carlito Feliciano and Amante Daro; Chief Inspector Jay Dimaandal; Senior Inspector Maricel Dalson; Senior Police Officer 4 Rezy Bartolome; SPO3s Dennis Insierto and James Poso; SPO1 Marian Esmas, PO3 Ramil Lucero, and PO1 Florence Mary Gumilab were named Manila’s 10 Outstanding Policemen.

The police officers each received a plaque of recognition and P100,000 in cash from Mayor Joseph Estrada during the awarding rites at the Manila Hotel on Saturday.

MPD director Chief Superintendent Joel Coronel thanked Estrada for honoring the members of the city police.

“The cash reward will go a long way, especially for the rank-and-file police personnel,” Coronel said. “This will contribute to their financial needs.”

Coronel said the cash incentive would inspire other MPD officers to do better.

Estrada also honored outstanding judges and prosecutors in the city, who received P50,000 each.
