MANILA, Philippines - Only three supporters can accompany each candidate for national positions in filing certificates of candidacy (COCs) at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) from Oct. 12 to 16.
Comelec Chairman Andres Bautista said yesterday they have limited the number of candidates’ companions to maintain order.
The poll body expects a deluge of politicians at the Comelec headquarters in Intramuros, Manila next week.
“We are calling on the candidates to comply with the new rule because we are doing this to maintain order during the filing of COCs,” Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said.
