Businessman shoots self

MANILA, Philippines - A 53-year-old Chinese businessman is fighting for his life after allegedly shooting himself with a shotgun in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Monday afternoon.

Peter Cua was rushed to the Metropolitan Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

Police Officer 2 Crispino Ocampo of the Manila Police District’s homicide section said Cua’s wife, Mei Yan, said she left for work at around 9 a.m.

When she went home for lunch, she found her husband lying, bloodied, on the second floor of their house, with a 12-gauge Squires Bingham model 30 shotgun.
