Sandy Araneta - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) recently arrested a Chinese and seized P1.5 million worth of shabu in separate raids in Manila and Marikina City.

NBI Director Nonnatus Rojas identified the Chinese as Lin Chao Min, alias Joy Li, 33, and resident of 167 Asuncion street in Binondo.

Lin was supposed to deliver 264.57 grams of shabu at a gas station in Marikina City when he was nabbed by NBI agents.

The Chinese had been the subject of surveillance by the NBI prior to his arrest.

Lin was detained at the NBI jail. He was charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Another suspect, David Chua, of Longhorn street in Marikina City, eluded arrest.

The NBI has launched a manhunt for Chua.
