MANILA, Philippines - A man was charged before the Manila regional trial court on Dec. 21 for allegedly selling .077 grams of shabu to an undercover police officer in Paco on Dec. 15.
Assistant City Prosecutor Lea Llavore, who filed the charges for the sale and possession of dangerous drugs against Mariel Musni, 40, recommended that no bail be granted.
According to court records, an informant told the Manila Police District before noon on Dec. 15 of the activities of a certain “Teta,” who was protected by a policeman known only as “Weng-Weng.”
Within two hours, Police Officer 2 Celso Tabobo and other policemen met with the informant and set up the drug bust.
Musni reportedly asked if Tabobo and the informant wanted to “score,” to which they replied that they would go up to P500. He was arrested after he received the marked money and handed over a sachet of shabu he took from his pants pocket, police said.
