T. de Leon, and driver of a Yamaha motorcycle (UN-6049); Erwin Sanchez, 30, graphic artist, resident of Santos Compound in Barangay Malinta and driver of a Suzuki motorcycle (PD-1825); and Emer Tinga, 26, driver of the Isuzu concrete mixer (RGG-778), resident of Barangay Paso de Blas, all of Valenzuela City,

Suspect Armando Reyes, 35, native of Sta. Maria, Bulacan, driver of the Isuzu dumptruck (UID-785) and resident of Gumamela street, Sitio Sta. Cruz, Barangay Cogeo, Antipolo City, surrendered to authorities. Reyes faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and multiple damage to property.

Records showed that the accident happened at 10:45 a.m. yesterday along NLEX at the Cloverleaf Interchange in Barangay Unang Sigaw, Quezon City. All the vehicles were travelling in the same direction when tragedy struck.

Dumarang was riding in tandem with De la Cruz when Reyes’ dumptruck rear-ended De la Cruz’s Yamaha and Sanchez’s Suzuki simultaneously sending the riders and motorcycles sprawling into the pavement including Dumarang, who absorbed the most injuries.

The dumptruck sped on after hitting the motorcycles and slammed into the cement mixer driven by Tinga before coming to a stop.
