Seafaring instructor found dead

An instructor of a seafaring school was found dead from stab wounds in Quiapo, Manila Saturday night.

The police identified the victim as Vincent Simpao, 49, an instructor of the Seaman School and a resident of San Pedro, Laguna. He died while undergoing treatment at the Philippine General Hospital.

The police are looking into the possibility that Simpao was a robbery victim.

Taxi driver Alex Maglalang, 48, told the police that he was driving his taxi (PWY-453) when he noticed a man lying on the ground. When he noticed the blood, he rushed the victim to the hospital. – Sandy Araneta
