Man from Caloocan caught shoplifting

CEBU, Philippines - A man from Caloocan City in Metro Manila was arrested for shoplifting at S&R mall located at the North Reclamation Area in barangay Subangdaku Thursday evening.

Vincent de Guzman, 25, was arrested by mall security men after the mall’s cctv camera caught him stealing 16 bottles of Neurogena oil worth P15,999 and four bottles of Olay day cream worth P2,599, placing these in his pants’ pockets.

De Guzman told police he and two companions came to Cebu only to steal the imported oils and creams from S&R.

The mall will investigate to learn how the thief gained entry into the store without a membership card.

Police are looking for de Guzman’s companions.

He is detained at the Subangdaku police station pending the filing of charges against him. –(FREEMAN)
