CEBU, Philippines - A man with a knife and 20 sachets containing alleged shabu was arrested Thursday at a checkpoint along P. Rodriguez Street in barangay Looc, Lapu-Lapu City.
Arrested was Arturo Demecillo, 38, jobless, and a resident of barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.
PO1 Ruel Pelones of station 3 said the man was onboard a multi-cab. He was ordered to get off his vehicle after police saw a knife tucked in his waist.
When frisked, the police found alleged shabu.
Meanwhile, one Leogen Combestra, 19, of Purok Cabaloy, barangay Pajac was arrested Last Friday by a miscellaneous team of police station 3 headed by SPO1 Espridion Blancia.
The police station received a telephone call and told that an armed man was seen along Punta Rizal Street in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.
There, the police immediately saw Combestra and seized from him a Smith and Wesson .22 cal. revolver.
Combestra is now detained at the police station. – (FREEMAN)
