CEBU, Philippines - Two men who snatched the cellular phone of a jeepney passenger were arrested shortly after the crime was committed Thursday evening along E. O. Perez Street in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Rosemart Cañizares, 53, married, of barangay Bangkal, Lapu-Lapu City was onboard a passenger jeep when a man snatched her phone she was holding, tossed it to a cohort, and both fled into the interior of sitio Malibu.
Before long, a mobile patrol car appeared and Cañizares immediately reported the theft.
With Cañizares, the police went after the snatchers.
Vecent Cañete and Janrey Alinsug, both 18 years old, were arrested and are now detained at the Subangdaku police station.
