Consolacion passes 2012 budget

CEBU, Philippines -  The Municipal Council of Consolacion has passed the annual budget for 2012 amounting to P131,445,667.00 for its General Fund.

It also approved a separate budget of P6,600,000.00 for the town market and another P1,020,000.00 for the slaughterhouse.

Of the P131,445,667.00 annual budget, P36,303,501.36 will go to personnel services. This amount is higher than last year's budget owing to the implementation of the Salary Standardization Law (third tranche).

The municipal government also allocated P17,347,156.84 for maintenance and other operating expenditure. The amount will cover the operation expenses of the different offices of the municipal government.

Meanwhile, the Council allocated P64,591,287.38 for non-office programs, covering the entire services program of the town, as well as the provision for the 20 percent Economic Development Fund and the five percent Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund.

Under the Capital Outlay, the municipal government allocated P8,620,000.00 to cover infrastructure expenses that include concreting of roads; laboratory, office and communication equipment; motor vehicles and settlement of payables.

The municipal government also allocated P4,583,716,48 for the town’s loan obligation. –/JMO (FREEMAN)
