Palacio de Memoria’s auction house, Casa de Memoria, launched The Casa Online which will feature a series of auction events primarily aimed at budding art enthusiasts who are starting to delve into the world of auctions.

Casa de Memoria is known for auctioning mostly European arts and antiques. Following the success of its Primero and Segundo anniversary and inaugural online auctions, the Lhuillier-managed auction house continues to shift its efforts online (especially during these times), offering young and beginner collectors accessible, smaller art pieces and interesting bric-a-brac and collectibles.

The Casa Online will be featuring a series of at least four online auctions, starting with “The Casa Online 01” on Saturday, July 11.

It will feature several European pieces such as paintings, sculptures, houseware and bric-a-brac, among other items. Included in this Saturday’s auction is a 19th century lithograph by French painter Henri Matisse titled “Portrait of a Girl.” Other items that will go under the hammer are a bronze sculpture by Antoine-Louis Barye, “Cafetera” by Basque artist Victor Arrizabalaga and 19th century Spanish artist Francisco Hernandez Monjo’s sketchbook containing a collection of his watercolors.

A portion of the proceeds from The Casa Online 01 will be donated to Sagip Kapamilya, the emergency humanitarian assistance program of the ABS-CBN Foundation.

One can pre-bid before the auction starts so go and register now at www.casadememoria.com and try your hand at bidding, you may get lucky!
