Security Bank Corporation marked its 65th anniversary by organizing a lavish celebration as a way of saying “thank you” to its leading customers. The Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La was packed with the crème de la crème of the business world as over a thousand of the bank’s top clients gathered for a night of sumptuous food and splendid entertainment. Security Bank chairman emeritus Frederick Dy, chairman Alberto Villarosa, president and CEO Alfonso Salcedo Jr. and director Takayoshi Futae welcomed the guests at the reception line. “We are grateful for the opportunities to serve our communities and our country well and for the opportunity to be a part of a very robust and strong financial banking system,” chairman Albert Villarosa said in his celebratory toast. “We’re also grateful for the Security Bankers who have grown with and served us well. Most of all, we are grateful for the relationships with you, our business partners and valued customers. We are grateful to the Almighty for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us.”  

Towards a better world

Enactus Philippines, a community of student and business leaders committed to using entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better world, recently had their Enactus National Competition at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay. Over 300 students from the nation’s leading universities presented business plans that would be of immense benefit and service to the underprivileged and marginalized in society. The competitors were evaluated by 51 of the country’s most esteemed executives, businessmen and statesmen, led by Enactus Philippines chairman Joey Leviste and executive director lawyer Kate Manzano, chief presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo, Philippine Airlines SVP for Legal and Corporate Communications lawyer Siegfred Mison, EEI Corporation president and CEO Bobby Castillo, OceanaGold Corporation Legal and HR SVP lawyer Joan Adaci-Cattiling.
