Bench thinks pink

MANILA, Philippines - Pink has always been the color of romance. Pink is the color of health. Pink is the color of newborn babies. And pink is the also the color of breast cancer awareness. 

 The Philippines has the highest incidence of breast cancer in all of Asia. This October, the month of breast cancer awareness, Bench opens the doors of its Bench Tower headquarters in Bonifacio Global City for a month-long fair that will help raise consciousness on the disease. With 25 fashion and lifestyle brands  under the Suyen Corporation family participating, the Pink Ribbon sale is a one-of-a-kind bazaar for the cause of pink before everything turns red for the holiday season. 

Located at the basement of the Bench Tower called The Playground, Rizal Drive, BGC, Taguig City, the sale will be open from 11a.m. to 8 p.m. on the 10th of October to the 30th of November. Homegrown brands Bench, Kashieca, Human, Dimensione; international brands Aldo, Call It Spring, Celio, Charles and Keith, Cotton On, Cotton On Kids, Early Learning Centre, The Face Shop, F&X, La Senza, Mothercare, Pedro, Vero Moda; luxury labels Alberta Ferretti, Casadei, Karen Millen, Repetto, Eastland, Naked and Famous, Opening Ceremony, and Swear will be offering great deals with up to 80 percent discounts across the different labels. All customers will be given free Breast Cancer Awareness pins, along with pink balloons and popcorn (while supplies last), with a chance to win bonus prizes, Bench pink nail polish, and free nail art can be availed with a minimum purchase. 

Celebrity Benchsetters have pledged to have a meet-and-greet sessions with fans.  Any purchase from the Bench Pink Booth gives them a chance to meet and greet with the celebrities. Today, Oct. 25, at 1 to 1:30 p.m., is Georgina Wilson; at 3 to 3:30 p.m., Isabelle Daza; and at 5 to 5:30 p.m., Bianca Gonzalez.

 

 

Since its inception in 2007, Pink for Life has helped more than 700 women with stage 1 and stage 2 Breast Cancer. Patients who qualify are able to get as much as 70 percent subsidy for their chemotherapy treatment.

 Today, a new program was organized together with Novartis Healthcare Philippines that aims to help patients suffering from stage 1 to 4 breast cancers to have a sustainable access to a quality, effective and affordable medicines. Since it started last November of 2013 more than 112 breast cancer patients have been benefited under this program.
