WATCH: Kisses Delavin enjoys dinner in the sky

MANILA, Philippines — Actress and recording star Kisses Delavin is among the first ones in the Philippines to try novelty dining service Dinner In the Sky in Solaire Resort and Casino, Paranaque City.

The Belgium-based novelty dining service will be open to the public beginning April 3. The Philippines is the third country in Southeast Asia in which the experience is taking place.

The dining service uses a crane to hoist its diners, table, and waiting  staff  150 feet into  the air,  giving  them a bird's view of a city or a country. Forbes magazine has called it "one of the world's top 10 most unusual restaurants."

The sky-dining experience started in May 2006 in Belgium and has done over 5,000 events so far, in more than 40 cities around the world. Among the iconic locations where the dining service has taken place include the Strip of Las Vegas, the gardens of  the King David Hotel, the Marina of Dubai, the hills of the Villa Borghese, the banks of the St. Lawrence River, the beach of Copacabana and Cape Town bay.  — Deni Rose M.
