XO46 Bistro Filipino, a place worth visiting for Filipino food

MANILA, Philippines - If you're looking for a good Filipino restaurant, this should definitely be in your list!

Ranging from the Filipino ambiance to servers speaking in pure Tagalog (with terms you have to look up in the dictionary) and authentic dishes, this will be absolutely an experience especially to foreigners.

Coming from work in Taguig, I met up with my family in Valero, Makati to dine at this place. I was just in time when food was already served. Starving me was ready to attack!

We got the Pateros Express for P275 (almost similar to Bicol Express if I'm not mistaken), Pinaasin Tilapia for P345, Sugpo sa Aligue for P489, Carabao Cheese for P295, Ginataang Langka for P275, Adobong Baka for P495, Pansit Bisaya for P225 and Bagoong Rice for P190. With a couple of refreshments such as Dalandan Mint for P75, Salabat Tanglad for P150, Banana Peanut for P175 and Lychee Coconut for P175.

One thing's worth mentioning - in the photo is my favorite - the Sugpo sa Aligue. Very rich and flavorful - indeed unhealthy (heavy in cholesterol, but who cares? I rarely eat this anyway! Haha!).

The drinks are something interesting - I like the Salabat Tanglad best - very soothing for the throat.

The overall experience was very much well-deserved for its worth - entertainment with the accommodating waiters, generous servings and good quality food. Again, a place worth visiting for Filipino food - a note especially to the corporate people working in Makati with visiting foreign clients.
