Sustainable pieces that go beyond your average closet staples

Contemporary casuals: Esprit tees, sweatshirts, tops, button-down shirts, skirts, everyday bottoms and denim use organic cottons, less synthetic fibers and ethically sourced materials.

MANILA, Philippines — Esprit has fulfilled its longtime goal of becoming a sustainable fashion brand. The iconic clothing company, which has aimed for fashion sustainability since the ’90s, has released collections that show how it’s co-creating a new fashion business model that fosters a circular fashion economy: where waste is eliminated, people are respected, natural resources are recycled, and the planet is preserved.

The new capsule collection is a highly sustainable, curated range of breathable pieces that go beyond your average closet staples. Thoughtfully designed tees, sweatshirts, tops, button-down shirts, skirts, everyday bottoms and denim use organic cottons, less synthetic fibers and ethically sourced materials.

Cruelty-free: Esprit aims to use 100-percent synthetic leather by 2025.

From 2019 to 2020 Esprit produced over 65 million pieces, and over half of them were sustainable, made from 83 percent organic cotton, as well as recycled or recyclable fabrics that biodegrade in a way that nourishes the environment.

The company is also decreasing the amount of synthetic fibers they use in their sports and activewear, and aims to use 100-percent water-based synthetic leather by 2025 to reduce cruelty to animals.

Esprit’s philosophy and promise of “wanting to make you feel good to look good” is key to the brand’s heritage of contemporary, on-trend fashion and lifestyle products, while encouraging innovative and unconventional collaboration in the new normal.

Esprit’s new capsule collection is a highly sustainable, curated range of breathable pieces.

Not a bad pivot for a casual clothing brand founded in California in 1968.
