Wanted: Seamless bra that stays put

La Senza’s Nu Bra is a strapless stick-on bra that gives good and secure coverage. It is seamless and the thin fabric does not bunch up or show unsightly lines.

Dear Lucy,

I love wearing halter tops, but it is a challenge to find a bra that is seamless, and stays put and secure. The strapless bras I bought (different brands) slip as I move around and thus I feel a need to keep on tugging them back up.  What strapless bra do you use?

What is your favorite brand for flats? If you absolutely have to choose just one, what would it be? How about sneakers? Do you wear sneakers?

Go to La Senza and get Nu Bra, which is a strapless stick-on bra. Comes in beige and black, I find it indispensable! I love wearing the bra with silk tops especially because even as it gives good and secure coverage, it is seamless, and the thin fabric does not bunch up or show unsightly lines.

If I had to choose just absolutely one brand for flats, I would go for Repetto in a heartbeat. There may be many other brands out there that rival and match Repetto in terms of beauty, but none are as comfortable. For me, this is the only dressy brand that does not pinch my feet here and there.

As for sneakers, I have to admit that I have yet to make friends with them completely. I use them to work out, but as leisure wear, I take my 15-year-old daughter’s advice in terms of what would look good on me. That said, I just borrow from her what I am unsure of buying for myself. If someone can create dressy flats but with the comfort of sneakers (cushioning especially), then that would be just great — dressy shoes you can run a marathon in, yes! But until that actually comes to be, I will be inclined to choose brands that are not too bulky design-wise — Tiger Onitsuka, Adidas Originals, Adidas Ultra Boost.
