Feeling at home at The Aivee Clinic in Alabang

The doctor is in: “We designed our clinics to look and feel like an extension of our client’s home. We don’t want them to feel scared or uncomfortable while having their procedure,” says Dr. Aivee Teo.

MANILA, Philippines - If stepping into an Aivee Clinic feels more like stepping inside an elegant home rather than a clinic, it’s because that’s exactly how the chic couple and accomplished doctors,  Dr. Z Teo and Dr. Aivee Teo, want it to feel.

“We don’t want our patients to feel scared or uncomfortable while having their procedure,” Dr. Aivee shares. “We want them to feel very comfortable, like they are not in a clinic but more like an extension of our home.” And quite an elegant home it is, from the stylish furniture to the gilded mirrors and sparkling chandeliers.

Effortless glam is Dr. Aivee’s signature style, with a keen eye for detail. “We are very detail-oriented,” she says, “from the carpets to the wallpaper to the furniture to the chandeliers. We always want that holistic approach.” It’s the same holistic approach they have in treating their patients.  You’ll get the same high degree of professional and personalized service with state-of-the-art technology in every Aivee clinic. There’s one located at Bonifacio Global City and another one at SM Megamall. Recently, they opened another clinic at the Commerce Center in Filinvest Corporate City in Alabang.

They are not new to the area. “I’ve always had a presence in Alabang,” Dr. Aivee says. They opened a clinic three years ago in another location, “but after three years, we felt we needed more space so we can have more rooms for our patients and a bigger waiting area.” She adds: “We wanted a more spacious area, so when this space was offered to us, we saw the place and felt this was a good match for our concept.”

It’s somewhat similar to their clinic at the Fort, which overlooks the park. “Alabang has always had this nature feel,” says Dr. Aivee. “Fresh air, beautiful trees, greeneries. So we wanted to bring that to our clinic. You have a beautiful view of Alabang, and you have  an outdoor area.” Clear picture windows bring the outside in. A soothing feeling of lightness and openness permeates the interiors.

It’s the perfect setting for their unique services. Among the latest, employing state-of-the-art technology, is Vaser, for stubborn fatty deposits that are “selectively targeted and permanently removed through Lipo Selection (not suction) by employing ultrasound energy.” Agnes is touted as the final solution to acne problems. Sygmalift is the first cold laser tightening machine in the country, while Sunetics is the latest hair regrowth technology with “no pain, no drugs, no surgery, and no side effects.” These treatments are non-invasive.

“Non-invasive treatments are very important because the patient is comfortable and there’s not much downtime, which is appealing because a lot of our patients are people who work. They can’t afford downtime. They can’t afford to stay away from work for a few days,”

Dr. Aivee says, “I also believe that these treatments are preventive in nature. You don’t have them only when there’s a problem, you can have the non-invasive treatments as a preventive approach. Patients nowadays don’t want to look unnatural. They want to look their best but they still want to look like themselves — but a better version of themselves.”

A happy mix of celebrities from both the fields of entertainment and politics was there to cut the ribbon during the well-attended opening of the Aivee clinic in Alabang. Among them were Sen. Cynthia Villar, Jackie Ejercito, Inno Sotto, Heart Evangelista, Gretchen Barretto, Tonyboy  Cojuangco,  and Edu Manzano. Also present were Aivee’s mom Imelda Aguilar, Dr. Z and the Teo kids — Ken-Z, Kenzo, and Kelli.

“I’m very privileged to have a job where I get to meet a lot of different kinds of people. I think that’s one of the gifts of my job. When they come to you, they trust you, and you also have to give back by being more personal. I interact with them and get to know them better because that’s the only way I can get to know their concerns,” Dr. Aivee says. “I’ve established beautiful friendships and lasting relationships in my practice. They are no longer just friends but more like family.”

“I just want our patients to know that we really make the effort,” she adds. “We work hard to give a holistic approach. We just want them to get to appreciate the little details that we put in our clinic. It’s an expression of ourselves. I just want my patients to feel that they get to know me in a more personal way when they come here. It’s like inviting them to our home.”
