Now you can Choos your shoes

Bride and beautiful: Jimmy Choo’s Taint shoes glam up any bridal dress.

Jimmy Choos tailored to hug every arch and curve of your foot — what could be more Cinderella-like than that?

Now every shoe gal’s fantasy can come true with Made to Order (MTO), Jimmy Choo’s exclusive shoemaking service, which is available in the Philippines only until Sept. 30.

While brides are the main target market for this service, you’d be surprised at how many fashionistas want the kind of red-carpet glamour Jimmy Choo is famous for.  Who can forget Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw going the extra mile for her Choos?

To make your dream pair of Jimmy Choos, first pick your silhouette. Choo’s signature styles include the pointy-toed Anouk, sculpturally sinuous Lance and ankle-strapped Tite stilettos that you can get in the heel height of your choice (85 to 120 mm are the most requested). Then you are presented with swatches so you can select the color and type of leather, exotic skin or fabric you prefer.

Brides looking for something really special for their wedding day can even put monograms on the soles. Each shoe holds a maximum of four letters or numerals, so a bride can put the wedding date on her bridesmaids’ shoes, for example, and give it to them as one heck of a token of appreciation.

Alternatively, an extremely thoughtful groom can order a pair of monogrammed Choos for his wife-to-be with her monogram, birthdate or their wedding date on it.

In all, the made-to-order service provides excellent wedding souvenirs. (Note that it takes about 10 to 12 weeks for shoes to be made.)

Those who don’t have time for bespoke can get Choos instantly from the ready-to-wear bridal collection. The red-carpet trend right now is to go back to simpler, sleeker stilettos to complement show-stopping dresses, and the same trend applies to brides. Those with elaborate gowns can choose a classic neutral shoe with white lace like Choo’s Fayme heels, while those who prefer more sparkle can up the glam factor with glitter lamé styles like the Nova peep-toe or Ivette sandal.

Oh, there’s also a sale right now where you can get certain pairs at 40 percent off.

With that, and the limited time frame of MTO, I suggest you make like Carrie Bradshaw and — don’t walk — run to the nearest Choo store.
