The 2nd PLDT #BeTheBoss awards

MANILA, Philippines – Education, innovation and entrepreneurship are the three key solutions to the Philippines’ economic problems, according to top Filipino technopreneur and Silicon Valley visionary Dado Banatao.

This is why PLDT SME Nation is helping push the country forward by recognizing and supporting young and innovative Filipino business entrepreneurs.

Through the #BeTheBoss Awards, young business owners are provided pathways to learn best practices and grow on a global scale, using digital tools in pursuing their respective missions.

Organized by PLDT SME Nation, the #BeTheBoss Awards recognizes young entrepreneurs who harness the power of digital tools and platforms to grow their businesses, and provides its winners a learning journey at no less than the Silicon Valley.

Now on its second year, The #BeTheBoss Awards has announced the results of this year's search for the most promising young entrepreneurs currently running a Micro, Small to Medium Enterprise (MSME).

Winners were selected by a panel of industry leaders and by the voting public in four categories. These are: Rachel Alejandro and Barni Alejandro Rennebeck of The Sexy Chef for Boss in E-Commerce; Jill Borja, Nadine Fanlo and Jaime Fanlo of Pedro Brewcrafters for Boss in Social Media; Matthew Cua of Skyeye Inc. for Boss in Innovative Solutions; and Melanie Go and Hindy Weber of Holy Carabao for Boss in Social Responsibility.
