PULP Summer Slam XIII: ‘Til Death Do Us Part’

MANILA, Philippines - “’Til death do us part…” Five simple words put together to form a phrase that establishes an eternal bond. This, in fact, is what PULP promises you all. They will never bring an end to this insanity until their dying day.

After 13 years and for the first time in PULP Summer Slam history, rain fell over the legendary QC Amoranto Stadium last April 27, 2013. But absolutely no amount of rain or lightning could stop these devilish fiends from playing excellent heavy metal and for their brothers in the pit to cease their thrashing. It was pure madness as CHICOSCI, PHILIA, and MR. BONES AND THE BONEYARD CIRCUS launched the afternoon with great intensity, pleasing Odin up in the skies. Despite the rain, the show carried on to unleash brutality in its highest form to a black sea of 30,000 metalheads with post-hardcore demigods A SKYLIT DRIVE, CIRCA SURVIVE, the British power metal heroes DRAGONFORCE, the masters of Heaven’s Fence COHEED & CAMBRIA, melodic metalcore San Diego locals AS I LAY DYING, New York death metal band CANNIBAL CORPSE, the all-time crowd favorite KAMIKAZEE, and Finnish hard rock group AMORAL.

Like every year, entry to PULP Summer Slam XIII came at the low price of Php400, which gave attendees a free copy of PULP Magazine, free Php30 SMART load or a sym card, free COLT 45, a Php50 discount on TRIBAL’s official PULP Summer Slam XIII shirt, free PIZZA HUT and PEPSI. No where else in the world would you find a show that could give you seven international acts, four local bands and fun freebies for less than $10. There’s just nothing like PULP Summer Slam!

‘Til death do us part’ – PULP is ready to keep its promise and continue to bring the greatest experiences and memories the Philippines will never dare forget.
