MANILA, Philippines - The whole Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC) recently celebrated the 90th birthday of its founder and chairman, Ambassador Alfonso T. Yuchengco. This milestone event gathered the conglomerate’s business partners, friends, colleagues as well as family members at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Manila Peninsula Hotel. The evening culminated with a toast ceremony in which everyone raised glasses for Ambassador Yuchengco’s continuing health and well-being.
Ambassador Yuchengco’s conglomerate includes Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), the number one non-life insurer Malayan Insurance Company, House of Investments that includes EEI Corporation and Mapua Institute of Technology, and over 50 other companies involved in real estate, financial services, pharmaceutical and car dealership. Through his philanthropic organization, the AY Foundation, Ambassador Yuchengco complements his business success with humanitarian service through meaningful, long-term civic projects.
Originating from the humble trading businesses of his father Enrique T. Yuchengco, the YGC celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2011.
