MANILA, Philippines - The air was in full bloom as it was an exhilarating opening night at the recent unveiling of Romulo Olazo’s 38th one-man-show featuring his ‘Diaphanous Anthuriums’ held at the ArtistSpace, Ayala Museum. The evening was of resplendence truly pointed towards the poise and glow of Olazo’s fascinating with the anthuriums began in 1994 after a drawing session of the Saturday Group Artist at the flower Farm in Tagaytay. He adapted the plant form of the anthurium in his private visual language and genre of the Diaphanous paintings, quietly coming into being as pastel sketches and now in full bloom in this exhibit
