95 years of philanthropy & service

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” — Mahatma Gandhi

A festive atmosphere greeted guests and members of the Catholic Women’s Club (CWC) during the club’s annual ball recently held at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City.

Dubbed Pista sa Nayon, the celebration was set against the picturesque backdrop of a traditional Filipino fiesta-meets-elegant ball.

Led by CWC president Estela Lopez, chairman Rose Lazaro and her co-chairs Tessie Rodrigo and Karen Macasaet, the event raised funds for the club’s various charities and humanitarian efforts.

Those in attendance donated to CWC’s continuing charitable projects such as scholarship grants to selected students in Don Bosco and Punlaan School, an environmental project at the Arroceros Park in Manila, financial aids to seminaries and orphanages, and the club’s monthly outreach projects.

Even as guests enjoyed the evening’s festivities, there was no doubt they had the poor and needy in their hearts and minds.

Happy anniversary to the wonderful ladies of CWC and may you continue to be a blessing to those in need!
