On the road with My City, My SM, My Cuisine

SM City Marilao’s book launch featured a parade of heroes. Performers portraying Jose Rizal, Marcelo H. Del Pilar and Mariano Ponce are shown with SM SVP for marketing Millie Dizon (second from left) with Bong Enriquez, JJ and Lito Ponce Gonzales, descendants of Bulacan historian Mila Enriquez and Mariano Ponce.

MANILA, Philippines - After a critically acclaimed launch at SM Aura Premier last February, SM took the My City, My SM, My Cuisine book on the road, presenting it to local government officials, its honorees and food lovers all over the Philippines.

Published by PeopleAsia, the book is a compilation of the My City, My SM, My Cuisine campaign that SM spearheaded from 2012 to 2013 in key cities around the Philippines.  It is a takeoff from the previous My City, My SM campaign, which highlights tourism.

The book has a special focus on heirloom recipes, a treasure trove of culinary gems from prominent families from each city, who opened their homes and shared their prized recipes and heartwarming stories in the process.

And a warm welcome awaited the SM team when it brought the book back to its culinary roots: a parade of heroes and historic food showcases at SM City Marilao; foodie talk at the Culinary Capital of the Philippines at SM City Pampanga; a coconut showcase at SM City San Pablo; festival dancers at SM City Rosales; homegrown specialties at SM City Lucena; recipes from Jose Rizal and Teodora Alonzo descendants at SM City Calamba; Biñan and baraka highlights at SM City Santa Rosa; and heirloom recipes from prominent families at SM City Batangas.

A perfect gift for food lovers of all ages, the My City, My SM, My Cuisine book is available at Kultura Filipino stores at SM Aura Premier, SM Mall of Asia, SM Makati, SM Megamall and SM City North EDSA.
