MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area (LPA) has a medium chance of developing into a tropical cyclone outside of the Philippine area of responsibility, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration yesterday.

PAGASA weather specialist Charmagne Varilla said that it is uncertain if the LPA will directly affect the country.

Due to the easterlies, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will be felt in Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Oriental while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with thunderstorms.
