MANILA, Philippines — The recent rollback may not be the end of the relief cycle. The Department of Energy said another round of cuts is possible next week after imported oil prices stayed lower in the first three trading days of the current pricing window.

At the retail level, the government is widening targeted support for public transport. The DOE said the P10-per-liter fuel subsidy for jeepneys and UV Express units is now available at 46 gasoline stations in Metro Manila.

The Social Security System, meanwhile, said it is expanding access to about P60 billion in relief programs for members hit by the fuel shock, while banks have been given flexibility to extend loan payments for affected borrowers.

Lawmakers are shifting toward longer-term fixes. Bills filed on April 16 seek to create a fuel regulatory board and a strategic oil reserve, a sign that the crisis is increasingly being treated not as a one-week price event, but as a structural energy-security problem.

Here are the benchmark prices applicable for April 17.
