Price Tracker: Oil, fuel monitor for Apr. 5
MANILA, Philippines — Fuel prices in Metro Manila remained steep over the weekend with April rates tracking significantly higher than mid-March as pressure on pump prices linked to tensions in the Middle East persist.
The Department of Energy said assurances from Tehran allowing safe passage for Philippine-bound shipments through the Strait of Hormuz help reduce supply risks.
However, officials stressed that improved supply conditions do not immediately translate into lower pump prices, as global crude costs and logistics remain challenged.
The table below lists latest benchmark prices across the capital region compiled from available reported figures and national reference data.
