VP Sara ‘triggered’ by President Marcos

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte will not watch the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Marcos because she says she can be so “triggered” by his words to the point that she wants to break a mobile phone.
Speaking before the “Bring Duterte Home Alive” rally at the Marronnier Park in Seoul, South Korea, Duterte said that she would not be watching Marcos as he delivers his fourth SONA today.
Responding to someone in the crowd, the Vice President said in Filipino, “What a waste of data. I don’t even want to watch it anymore. To be honest, I get triggered when I listen to him, because he irritates you so much that sometimes it’s beyond irritating. Sometimes it’s anger already and you want to break the screen of your cell phone.”
Duterte said she prefers to just read about the SONA later to know the “lies” told to the Filipino people.
“I won’t watch, I’ll just read. We need to read to know what other lies are being said to the people, other lies that are being told,” she said.
She expects Marcos allies, who would gather at the Batasang Pambansa complex and listen to him deliver the SONA, to applaud him for the positive pictures and numbers that he would present.
However, Duterte said these developments are not felt in the barangays or in the homes of many Filipinos.
The people deserve a good government and should not settle for an “OK na yan” service, she said. “We deserve better,” she added.
