OVP reports 86% utilization rate of P2.084 billion 2024 budget

MANILA, Philippines — Impeached Vice President Sara Duterte has reported utilizing 85.55 percent of her office’s P2.084-billion budget in 2024, spending about P1.783 billion for various projects.

In her accomplishment report posted on Facebook, Duterte recorded 154,565 beneficiaries of the Office of the Vice President (OVP)’s medical aid, while 32,732 received burial assistance.

Some 1,491 people benefited from the OVP’s Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day, followed by 227,958 from PagbaBago campaign; 144,808 from rice food bags; 13,436 from PanSarap; 1,025,275 from Libreng Sakay and 178,812 from disaster relief operations.

“The Office’s commitment to excellence resulted in a 93.6 percent implementation of planned project milestones, processing of 98.4 percent requests for assistance and a 98.2-percent satisfaction rate, surpassing all targets,” the OVP said.

About 187,942 trees were planted by the OVP in 2024 in support of the government’s National Greening Program.

The OVP said it has accomplished 63.9 percent of its target to plant one million trees by 2028.

Among the beneficiaries of Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day program was the Barangay Habag Fisherfolks Association, which received P150,000 on March 21, 2024.

“The funding augmented the available capital of the association for their fishing trading and marketing, enhancing their business operations and market reach,” the OVP noted.
