MANILA, Philippines — President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. intends to keep posting video log or vlog entries on his social media accounts even after he formally assumes office on June 30.

In his latest vlog entry posted on Saturday on Facebook, Marcos said he and his team agreed to keep his vlog despite his busy schedule and expected heavy workload in order to inform the public about his administration’s actions and programs.

Marcos said he also sees his vlog as an effective tool to know the sentiments of the people and what they would want to be prioritized by the government.

“I was discussing with my team whether I should still continue my vlog as there are lots of things to do. And in the end, we decided, and we agree with all of you, that I should continue it,” Marcos said in Filipino.

“I really need to explain to the public all the works that my administration is doing. I also want to hear your comments about any shortcomings or things that we need to do,” he added.

Marcos usually posts his vlog entries on his official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

He has 7.4 million followers on Facebook, 1.2 million on Twitter and one million on Instagram.

The president-elect said his vlog also serves as an alternative source of information apart from the media.

“That’s why we really want to continue this vlog. Every so often, we need to explain something about what we are doing,” Marcos said.
