MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Coast Guard commandant Admiral Artemio Abu and Operation Brotherhood Community Foundation president and auxilary commodore Sara Soliven-de Guzman recently signed a memorandum of agreement that will strengthen their partnership in promoting literacy and a sustainable future for children and adults through education and life skills program.

The program will provide teacher training to PCG CRG teams to enable them to give child and adult literacy anchored on the Montessori method of learning.

It also aims to establish community centers across all Coast Guard districts that will service the needs of coastal communities around our Coast Guard stations and substations.

Seven CRG teams have already received initial training and deployed in pilot areas in CGDs STL, NWLZN, PAL, BCL, CV, EV and BARMM.
