Low numbers won’t force Leody to quit presidential race

MANILA, Philippines — Low numbers won’t force Partido ng Lakas ng Masa (PLM) candidate Leody de Guzman to quit or support other presidential bets.
In an online forum, De Guzman said there is no other presidential candidate who has a platform for the benefit of workers.
He said all the other candidates will continue the old laws and system of governance, where the country‘s progress is anchored on big business – which has been proven to fail.
De Guzman said he is lagging in surveys only because he is not as popular as the other candidates. He however expressed optimism that his standing will improve and that voters will remember him on election day.
Asked if he could consider supporting another candidate, De Guzman said he doesn’t want to be “used” if the other candidate he will support turns out not to be serving the interests of workers.
