DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines — Former special assistant to the president Christopher “Bong” Go appealed anew to his supporters to remove campaign materials in places not allowed by the Commission on Elections.
Go, who attended the 50th anniversary of Lyceum-Northwestern University here last Friday, was replying to criticism about his tarpaulins.
“If you want to help in my campaign please hang these at your houses,” Go said in Filipino.
Go urged his supporters to follow the rules of the poll body.
“I’m begging you, let’s follow the rule of law,” Go said.
Go, who was declared by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan as an “adopted son” of the province last December, said he would serve as Pangasinan’s bridge to President Duterte.
“If you want to support the President, let’s combat the evils of society,” the senatorial candidate said.
Meanwhile, Go told Pangasinan residents that among his priority measures if elected to the Senate will address the welfare of the youth as well as teachers.
