Pagasa forecasts warmer weather for 2 days

MANILA, Philippines — Slightly warmer temperatures are expected tomorrow and on Tuesday due to the weakening of the northeast monsoon, the state weather bureau said yesterday.
The country will experience a monsoon break next week, wherein the dominant weather system would be the warm easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Apart from the warmer temperatures, most parts of the country will also experience isolated rains due to thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon or evening.
In Metro Manila, the forecast maximum or warmest temperature tomorrow is 32 degrees Celsius, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
The weather bureau, however, still expects the northeast monsoon to return and bring colder mornings this month.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon continued to bring cooler weather in some parts of the country yesterday.
In the metropolis, the temperature fell to 19.6 degrees Celsius at 3 a.m. yesterday.
In Baguio City, the lowest temperature registered yesterday was 11.5 degrees Celsius.
Aurelio said fair weather would continue to prevail in the country in the next three days.
As of yesterday, no weather disturbance was spotted within and outside the Philippine area of responsibility, he added.
Based on PAGASA’s latest forecast, there is a slim chance of tropical cyclone development for the month of February.
