‘Isang’ exits Philippine Area of Responsibility

MANILA, Philippines — Severe Tropical Storm “Isang” (international name: “Hato”) exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday afternoon.

In its latest advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Isang exited PAR at around 2 p.m.

The state weather bureau said that as of 3:00 p.m., Isang’s eye was located 375 km west of Basco, Batanes.

The weather disturbance packs maximum sustained winds of 110 km per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 137 kph.

Isang is forecast to move west north west at 25 km per hour. It is expected to be in southern part of China by Wednesday.

PAGASA Senior Weather Specialist Chris Perez also said all tropical cyclone warning signals have been lifted but the public may still expect cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms brought by localized thunderstorm.

Perez said Metro Manila may experience temperatures of up to 31 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
