Tourism chief's husband appointed to board of Landbank subsidiary

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed the husband of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo as board member of a subsidiary of Land Bank of the Philippines.
 
Roberto Teo was appointed board member of the Land Bank of the Philippines Leasing and Finance Corp. last June 2, documents released by Malacañang on Tuesday showed.
 
According to LLFC, it was created primarily "to engage in leasing of all kinds of equipment, extend credit to industrial, commercial, agricultural and other enterprise and engage in financing of merchandise in all their various forms."
 
Teo was chief of the Investments Promotions Center of Davao City, where Duterte served as mayor for more than 23 years.
 
He was also board member representing the travel and tours enterprises of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority during the Aquino administration.
 
Tourism Secretary Teo is the sister of broadcasters Mon, Ben, Raffy and Erwin.
 
Aside from Roberto Teo, 12 others were given new posts earlier this month:
 
  • Alex Roldan, director IV of the Department of the Interior and Local Government 
  • Pedrito Angeles, board member of the Home Development Mutual Fund
  • Leticia Damaso, board member of the Philippine Postal Savings Bank
  • Jaime Paz, board member of the Social Housing Finance Corp.
  • Emiliano Reyes, board member of the Social Housing Finance Corp.
  • Leonardo Lopez, board member of the Manila International Airport Authority
  • Ricardo Juliano, board member of the LBP Resources and Development Corp.
  • Jennifer Yasol, prosecutor IV of the National Prosecution Service in Panabo City
  • Annalyn Cuisia and Teresita Brazil, board of trustees members of the Land Bank Countryside Development Foundation Inc.
  • Conrado Miñano, board member of the LBP Leasing and Finance Corp.
  • Dimapuno Datu board member of the Light Rail Transit Authority
