MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) yesterday urged school and student groups to hold satellite registration to encourage more youths to vote in the coming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

“The Comelec is reiterating its invitation to schools and student organizations to get in touch with the election officers of their respective cities and municipalities, so that they may be advised on scheduling satellite registration activities,” James Jimenez, Comelec spokesman, said.

Jimenez believes that school and student organizations are ready to support the Comelec in these activities.
