'Carina' to bring rains over Bicol, Eastern Visayas

MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Carina is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains over Bicol, Eastern Visayas and CARAGA, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.

In its 11 a.m. severe weather bulletin on Friday, PAGASA said the LPA east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar has developed into a tropical depression which was named Carina.\

Carina's eye was estimated to be at 195 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar at 10 a.m. It moves northwest at 11 kph with maximum winds of 45 kph near the center.

It is forecast to bring moderate to heavy rainfall within its 300 km diameter. PAGASA warned fisherfolk of moderate to rough seas over the eastern seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.

No tropical cyclone signal was raised.
