Leni, Bongbong statistically tied for top spot in Pulse Asia VP survey

MANILA, Philippines — Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo and Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. shared the lead in the latest Pulse Asia survey commissioned by ABS-CBN Corp. released early Wednesday.

Robredo and Marcos were statistically tied with 30 percent and 28 percent, respectively, in the survey conducted from April 26 to 29.

Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero placed third with 18 percent followed by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano with 15 percent.

Meanwhile, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Sen. Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan II scored 3 percent and 2 percent, respectively.

Marcos was the top vice presidential bet among respondents in the National Capital Region (42 percent) and Luzon (33 percent) while Robredo took the lead in Visayas (42 percent). Cayetano (29 percent), Marcos (24 percent) and Robredo (28 percent) shared statistical leads in Mindanao.

Robredo and Marcos also shared the statistical lead across all social classes. Robredo scored 30 percent in classes ABC, 30 percent in class D and 29 percent in class E. Marcos obtained 29 percent in classes ABC, 29 percent in class D and 24 percent in class E.

The survey was conducted from April 26 to 29 among 4,000 respondents nationwide. The respondents were adults who are registered voters with biometrics.
